러시아 태생의 Aleksander Rodchenko (1891 ~ 1956)는 러시아 혁명 이후 등장한 constructivism을 구축한 photographer이자 graphic designer입니다.
“One has to take several different shots of a subject, from different points of view and in different situations, as if one examined it in the round rather than looked through the same key-hole again and again.”

네덜란드 태생의 Piet Zwart (1885 ~ 1977)는 전통적인 typography 틀에 얽매이지 않고 왕성한 활동을 한 photographer이자 typographer입니다. Constructivism과 De Stijl에 영향을 받은 그는 NKF Company에서 많은 작업을 했고, 은퇴 후 interior와 furniture design에 삶의 마지막을 바치게됩니다.
