Van Doesburg(1883 ~ 1931)는 painting, architecture, design, poetry 등 폭넓은 분야에 재능을 가진 네덜란드 태생의 화가로 Wassily Kandinsky로 부터 깊은 감명을 받은 후, 화풍을 conceptual geometric style로 전환하고, Piet Mondrian과 함께 De Stijl(The Style)를 주도합니다.
아울러 그는 Macintosh computer나 pixel을 기초로 한 fonts가 개발되기 훨씬 전부터, 개개의 character가 square를 기준으로 한 typeface를 디자인했는데 이는 “Architype Van Doesburg”로 새로이 세상의 빛을 보게 되었습니다.

미국 뉴욕주 버팔로 태생의 Adolph Frederick Reinhardt(1913 ~ 1967)는 ‘American Abstract Artists’의 회원으로 ‘Abstract Expressionism’로 알려지게된 ‘Betty Parsons Gallery’를 중심으로 한 운동에 참여했던 Abstract painter입니다. 수많은 예술에 대한 강연과 저술활동으로 conceptual, minimal art 및 monochrome painting에 많은 영향을 끼쳤습니다.
