미국 태생의 Robert Brownjohn(1925 ~ 1970)은 초기의 print work과 잇따른 motion picture title sequences – “From Russia with Love”(1963), “Goldfinger”(1964)로 잘 알려진, 정형화된 graphic design 개념에 여러가지의 pop culture 요소들을 적절히 융합시킨 디자이너입니다.

Institute of Design in Chicago(the New Bauhaus)에서 그를 가르쳤던 Laszlo Moholy-Nagy는 예술과 삶이 하나로 융합될 수 있느냐라는 <Vision in Motion>과의 질문에 대한 답변으로, “The true artist is the grindstone of the sense; he sharpens his eye, mind and feeling; he interprets ideas and concepts through his own media.”라고 그를 언급할 정도였다고 합니다.

Laszlo Moholy-Nagy (1895 ~ 1946)는 Bauhaus에서 학생들을 가르치며, 다양한 분야(photography, typography, sculpture, painting, industrial design, printmaking)에서 technology와 arts의 조화로운 결합을 시도하며, 한 평생을  constructivism을 꿈꾼 Hungary 태생의 화가이며 photographer입니다.
